General Aviation
After flying models for years, I got the itch to try the “real thing”. I started pilot training in 2001 and received my private pilot license in 2002. I’ve been flying ever since, primarily in a rented Cessna 172 Skyhawk, and a Diamond Aircraft DA20-A1 Katana. During that time, I’ve had a lot of ideas about flying, which I’m documenting here. Since flying also provides some interesting photo opportunities, you’ll find quite a few pictures too. In 2004, I began construction of an Evans VP-1 Volksplane.
